Our story
The security market is noisy, expensive and fragmented. Organizations pay for dozens of tools, receive mountains of alerts and still cannot answer the simplest question: how secure are we really?
Arno van der Veen and Eric Bruseker saw this up close for years and decided to do things differently. Arno as a technical security expert who built his own IP in the form of a security orchestration dashboard. Eric as a sales leader who knew how to build long-term trust with organizations and partners.
That is how PAKAROS was created: not another tool on top of the stack, but the connecting layer that brings everything together. So you see what is happening and decide what happens next.
Our name
PAKAROS is named after a Maya ruler who took over a kingdom in crisis more than 1400 years ago and transformed it into one of the most powerful cities of its time. His name, Pakal, means shield.
That is no coincidence. Pakal ruled for 68 years. He built infrastructure that lasted, documented everything that happened and left behind an organization that could withstand what came after him. No quick win. No temporary solution. A foundation.
What we do follows the same logic. We do not build a security solution for calm times, because that is simply not the reality. And nobody can guarantee that nothing will ever happen. That is why we do not only prevent, but also build a safety net for the moment something goes wrong. Continuity, documentation and architecture. The core of what a SOC delivers was already in the name.

Arno is a senior security professional with deep expertise in security engineering, incident response and SOC environments. He built his own IP in the form of a security orchestration dashboard and knows the technical reality of complex environments from the inside. Specialist in Elastic, Fortinet, Sophos, Tenable and complex integrations.
Eric Bruseker – CBO:
